Queensland Health works with the Australian Department of Health and Ageing (DOHA) to deliver quality health services to Queenslanders. DOHA's responsibilities cover general practitioners, Medicare, immunisation, aged care, implementation of the National Health and Hospitals Network, private health insurance, pharmaceutical benefits scheme (PBS), mental health, after hours GP helpline, and a range of other initiatives.
