    We are looking to hire a Health Management Information System Officer to support the development and deployment of Save the Children’s Health Management Information System (HMIS) using the software DHIS2. DHIS2 is an open source tool that will be used to capture, analyse and monitor data in our health and nutrition programmes in around 60 countries. As Health Informatics Officer you will support the implementation of the HMIS by leading on users’ capacity building and delivery of in-country training.

    As our dedicated Health Management Information System Officer you will develop tailored training material and set up the online training platform using Save the Children Learning Management System. In addition you will:

    • Support the implementation of the HMIS at field level through in-country training
    • Ensure all training activities are monitored and evaluated and that there is continuous improvement of the programme
    • Ensure the quality translation of all HMIS learning materials
    • Provide technical input during the configuration and customization of DHIS2 ensuring data from the health programs is accurately captured.

    To be successful you will have a Master in Public Health and relevant field experience working with management of heath facility data. Motivated by developing and improving the capacity of staff in using the HMIS, in addition you will have:

    • Experience in epidemiology and Health Management Information Systems
    • Experience in analysing complex data, including both quantitative and qualitative data sets
    • Knowledge and direct experience of people development approaches and methodology
    • Ability to facilitate and lead trainings on a variety of M&E and HMIS topics
    • Demonstrated monitoring and evaluation skills.

    Please note that experience of working for a Non-Governmental Organisation and fluency in French or Arabic are all desirable.
