The Shroom Room Chaperone at Four Sigmatic is in charge of running the most unique storefront in NYC: a mushroom drink store! Not only will you crush the day-to-day operations of the ‘Shroom Room, but you’ll engage and educate consumers on the benefits of functional mushrooms and adaptogens (and no, they don’t get you high). This is more than a coffee shop attendant position, as you’ll also be working events and building relationships with other local businesses and community organizations.

Four Sigmatic is a superfood company founded by a group of Finnish Funguys. We aim to popularize functional mushrooms and adaptogens by incorporating them into mainstream products like coffee, tea, and cacao. We’ve been in the US since 2015, and today we’re ‘shroomin from LA to Minneapolis to NYC and everywhere in between.

Requirements

You’re Amazing At:

* Attending to day to day operations of a small store or coffee shop, including opening and closing duties 
* Keeping meticulous track of inventory 
* Ordering products and supplies so inventory never runs low 
* Achieving total monthly sales 
* Selling product (without being too sales-y) 
* Building relationships and organizing events with other businesses, influential individuals, partners, and community organizations

You Definitely Have:

* Retail or barista experience 
* Nutrition or herbal knowledge 
* Customer service experience 
* Some evening and weekend availability 
* A thirst for learning more about functional mushrooms and adaptogens 
* Experience collecting data (sales, and customer service issues)

Maybe Even A Little Extra Awesome:

* Event planning experience
