The Role

Your insights will not only help educate mobile and app professionals on the key trends and issues of the market, but also be quoted by the press, referenced at international conferences and events, and even sourced in companies’ reports and earnings. The Senior Market Insights Analyst in Beijing will drive insights for China, and make key contributions that span other major countries. Your research will serve a broad range of industry verticals, including gaming, media & entertainment, retail, technology, mobile telecom, and investors.

You will:

• Produce actionable analyses to educate mobile and app professionals

• Cement App Annie’s reputation as the “go-to” app and mobile thought leader

• Provide holistic industry insight by combining findings from App Annie’s data with relevant external research and mobile and technology news

• Identify findings and trends within App Annie’s data using Excel, Tableau, and other reporting and visualization tools

• Clearly communicate findings through slide decks, charts, spreadsheets, and written reports

• Work with customers, media outlets, and partners on ad hoc requests for market data and insights as appropriate

• Provide custom research, supported by App Annie data, to uncover the current state and future direction of the app market in China

You have:

• 3 to 5 years professional working experience

• Experience working with mobile app publishers, marketers, investors or researchers giving you a deep understanding of the mobile market in China

• A desire to discover and communicate actionable findings, insights, and trends about the app industry

• Strong analytical, quantitative, research, and problem-solving skills

• Thrived working hands-on with large volumes of varied data with the curiosity to dive in and discover what is driving the trends

• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Demonstrated experience finding relevant and credible external information on your own

• Delivered high-quality analyses that are informative, compelling, and credible to customers and tech press

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Fluency in English (verbal and written)

• Managed multiple overlapping projects and deadlines within a dynamic, challenging work environment
