This is a fantastic opportunity to support the re-design of the website for the UK’s top tourist attraction, in line with the British Museum’s recently launched Digital Strategy which is designed to increase the Museum’s reach, build a data-centric relationship with our audience, and develop new revenue streams.
As a UX Designer, you will perform UX analyses of the website, working closely with stakeholders in key business areas. This is a vital role in ensuring that the website meets its targets by generating revenue, streamlining internal processes and providing enjoyable experiences for visitors.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in interaction design/UX design/product design or a related discipline, and will possess a web design/development qualification. With experience of designing public facing websites and strong knowledge of UX methodologies, you will be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch and other design packages.
We are looking for an excellent communicator who is able to brief and manage the work of external agencies and freelancers to ensure timely delivery of work, whilst prioritising your workload effectively and to agreed deadlines. You will uphold a professional manner at all times and will be able to represent the Museum and its goals to external partners.
