This is a placement position with a top American MNC technology company.
We’re looking for an experienced writer/editor to develop insights and content for Think with Google APAC (apac.thinkwithgoogle.com). Our mission is to make marketers around the world more knowledgeable by providing data, insights, and perspectives that change the way they do business.
By doing so, we elevate Google’s position as a thought leader in marketing. This role is part of the Google B2B marketing team; the writer/editor works closely with our content
production agency, local editors, marketing & sales teams, industry analysts, and PR to develop thought leadership content on digital marketing. Topics include: video marketing, programmatic, apps & gaming, retail marketing as well as consumer and market trends across 8 markets (India, SEA etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute content marketing strategy to drive Google’s B2B advertising business
- Write articles for Think with Google, including perspective pieces (through interviews with senior executives), case studies, and consumer & market trends
- Edit content (written articles, listicles, infographics etc.) produced by our content production agency; ensure content meets Think with Google’s editorial standards, business objectives, and audience needs
- Develop editorial strategy & processes, drive our publishing/content calendar, maintain publishing cadence, and meet publishing timelines
- Develop actionable insights and compelling narratives from data, product information & research findings
Required Skills/Experience:
- At least 8 years of experience in publishing, content marketing, and/or PR. Experience at a leading publisher or technology firm preferred
- Ability to translate industry jargon, data points, and research findings into a compelling narrative
- Knowledge of internet technologies and digital marketing subject matter. Comfort with the fast pace of internet publishing. Ability to simultaneously manage several projects with challenging deadlines
- Strong writing and editing skills and a keen visual sense. A keen eye for detail and superb editorial judgement
- Experience in managing agencies by providing them guidance and setting up publishing processes
- Ability to work independently and influence multiple stakeholders across global-regional-and-local teams, and manage their expectations. Ability to work at both
strategic and tactical levels – a hands on team player
