Lloyds Banking Group is the UK's leading Retail and Commercial Bank, and has a challenging and key opportunity for a Senior Architect to join the Enterprise Architecture & Design team which supports the Commercial Banking business.
Commercial Banking provides a range of lending, deposits and transaction banking services to UK businesses. This client-focused framework is supported by product expertise in the Capital Markets and Financial Markets businesses, private equity through Lloyds Development Capital, and client banking products in our Transaction Banking business.
This is a role that matters as a Lead Architect. Reporting directly into the Head of Architecture for Commercial Bank you will be responsible for helping develop technology strategy and architecture for the Commercial Bank business.
The role involves collaboration with a broad range of specialists across the business, Application Development, Enterprise Architecture, and Infrastructure teams, and includes the definition of technology roadmaps and strategies for the target architecture landscape as well as driving technology innovation within Commercial Bank.
This is a varied position with a focus on developing the overall technology strategy, roadmaps, standards and patterns.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience working within an Investment Banking, Trading or Transaction Banking environment with extensive knowledge of financial markets and a strong technical background with expertise in at least one technical discipline such as Application Development, Data Architecture or Integration.
You will also have a demonstrable understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) coupled with a proven track record for defining strategy and architecture, and securing senior Business and IT Management buy-in for target architecture roadmaps.
Additionally you will be able to demonstrate technology innovation in your career to date and will have experience of driving solution design through to implementation.
