Data Analyst - Tech in Asia｜Meet.jobs

The data team in Tech in Asia is building up our internal analytics products to deliver better data and insights about Asia’s tech scene

To help us achieve this, we are seeking a motivated and experienced data analyst to join our team.

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for building relationships with other departments within the organization
• Understand their data requirements and provide relevant data reports, visualizations, analysis, and insights
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
• Be able to identify gaps and issues in our data collection process and resolve them, and propose long term solutions to increase our data integrity
• Work closely with product managers, engineers and other stakeholders
• Help conceptualize, create, and implement new data products and services for Tech in Asia

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in data analytics
• Knowledge and experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redshift, Presto) and BI Tools (Tableau) and ETL frameworks
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Python, R, Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.)
• Ability to showcase your reports to business stakeholders with clarity and work independently to solve problems and develop solutions
• Experience working with business users to understand their problems and employ a systematic methodology to develop data solutions and collaborate with other engineering functions to deliver solutions
• B.S. in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics

Good to have:

• Experience with deployment of production-grade analytics pipelines
• Experience building web applications, micro-services and cloud services (AWS)
• Experience with natural language processing, graph theory and machine learning algorithms (supervised and unsupervised learning).
