    Creative Design Manager at Gametize

    Gametize is looking for a Creative Designer to join our fast-paced startup. We’re looking for someone who has a strong interest in gamification, understanding the problem (who/how/what/why), and creating a simple and engaging user journey from design thinking methodologies.

    If you love designing intuitive interfaces, effective graphics, and delightful user experiences, we would love to get to know you. You could be a fresh graduate, or someone with years of experience – we don’t care, as long as we want you.


    Your main responsibilities

    • Conceptualize art directions at project outset
    • Participate and contribute to the design direction at project outset
    • Coordinate & communicate all design matters such as timeline and deliverables to client
    • Work with team to create low and hi-fidelity wireframes from project briefs
    • Prepare & present design pitches and iterations, both internally and to clients
    • Suggest new ways of improving the quality of designs and other project issues
    • Deliver custom graphic assets including logo, character illustration, etc. from conceptualization to execution
    • Define the brand voice with design guidelines & templates for Gametize’s corporate communications (e.g. site, EDMs, social media, media kit)
    • Conduct user research to design intuitive UI & UX for Gametize/s web/mobile products


    Other duties you may be assigned

    • Managing projects (either internal/client/partner) at least 40% of your time
    • Execute print design for promotional materials such as brochures, standees, t-shirts etc
    • EDM design
    • Conducting research and perform analyses to optimize our assets e.g. landing pages, blogs, and social media channels


    Must-haves

    • Proficiency in using design software, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe XD
    • Able to juggle multiple projects and work well under deadlines
    • Come up with creative and practical solutions to problems within a rapid development environment
    • Able to iterate designs quickly
    • Good knowledge of design fundamentals including an eye for typography, composition and use of color with attention to detail
    • Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills, team-building skills, as well as creative and artistic presentation skills
    • Responsible for coming up with unique experiences and concepts that are digitally and technologically driven and ingenuity in finding solutions to complex client needs
    • Expertise to lead the visual ideation process by ensuring the delivery of design solutions that are focused on delivering measurable client results


    Nice-to-haves:

    • Experience with project management
    • Excellent communication skills, such as for design pitching & ideation sessions
    • Understanding of front-end development such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript
    • Knowledge in game design, gamification, game psychology, and design thinking
    • Animation and video production
    • Experience building websites using Wordpress
    • Good understanding of user experience best practices and interaction design patterns


    What can I expect?

    • Depending on your skills and experience, it can range from S$2,000 to $3,500/month.
    • You would also be managing projects (either internal/client/partner) at least 40% of your time, so you will experience the dynamics of a live projects.
