META Games creates mobile games for Esport fans. Our ambition is to open and fully occupy a new genre and build games that will be enjoyed by millions of Esport enthusiasts around the globe.
Now we are looking for an experienced Head of Live Operations (m/f) to complete our core team in Berlin. You will drive and be responsible for the overall live ops and monetization functions and performance across all our games and directly work with META Games upper management / founders. Your decisions will matter from day one and you pave the way for further expansion of the company and its game portfolio.
Ideally you have a strong background in the mobile games industry and a passion for Esports. An entrepreneurial spirit, a love for fast paced environments and a passion for learning are definite pluses.
Your mission:
• Create a “Lean Live Ops” vision and strategy and embody them as example for your Live Ops Team and towards external partners
• Define Revenue & Live Ops KPI targets together with META Games management and be responsible for meeting and exceeding them
• Build, lead and develop a Live Ops Team that evolves and grows from META’s startup phase towards a multi-game future
• Define and implement a Live Ops Schedule with Events and Offers within our games to drive retention, engagement and monetization.
• Collaborate closely with the Marketing / UA department to align strategies, schedules and communication and unlock support for your Live Ops schedule.
• Continually improve and innovate on all Live Ops & ARM aspects, coming up with new ideas for events, offers, A/B tests and keeping in touch with the industry’s development
• Own the implementation of community events and in-game activities with our partners: Esports teams, brands and organizations
• Own all aspects of customer satisfaction, from community management to customer support, both with your in-house team and external partners
• Bring your experience and knowledge in Live Ops, Retention and Monetization to bear during game development and in shaping the development pipeline, representing the LO perspective on FTUE and features when working with the Game Design & the Development teams
• Be responsible for all BI functions to support your LO activities and use data insights to increase reach and monetization of the game
Your Requirements:
• You are an experienced live ops leader with a demonstrable track record of managing live ops teams and growing games’ revenues
• You worked on mid core f2p mobile games at different stages of their life cycle, from launch to sunset
• You live and breathe data-driven, lean live ops, dream about KPIs and dashboards and know how to negotiate the balance between retention and monetization
• You’re intimately familiar with BI concepts and technologies
• You’re happy to shape a company from early on, getting your hands dirty if necessary but with a view of the big picture and long-term development of your team and the company
• You are a problem solver at heart, willing to learn what you don’t already know and are proactively looking for answers.
• You live what you preach and are an example to your team, sparring about ideas with your peers, leaving egos at the door.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Bonus Skills:
• You follow Esports and have played or play MOBAs, FPSs, etc – not professionally, but competitively
• You worked on manager games before
