DKB Code Factory is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to play a pivotal role in forming our team. Every engineer has the chance to contribute ideas, influence the direction of the team, and build significant elements of the infrastructure for one of Germany's biggest online banks - the DKB.
At the DKB Code Factory we are pioneering the movement towards forging the DKB into a tech bank by using the latest technologies to develop user-friendly web-banking apps for millions of customers. We are aiming to provide an excellent infrastructure to make continuous deployments and releases within enterprise and cloud environments possible.
You will be a part of a multidisciplinary team working with the latest technologies and tools. You and your team will own the development cloud infrastructure and will be responsible for designing, deploying, securing and monitoring the environment with its tools and services. You'll also experience multiple perspectives through working with internal and external expertise to drive DKB and its most important suppliers towards developing modern banking solutions.
Your responsibilities:
* You own the development cloud infrastructure and are free from on-duty services.
* You share your team mates passion for having everything in code automated.
* You are eager to work closely with your team mates on setting up and manage our automated software delivery pipeline for an industry grade finance product.
* You´ll manage our cloud infrastructure based on AWS.
* You embrace code review culture.
* You are passionate about topics like security, and scaling container based micro services with Kubernetes & Docker.
* You know interested in working with monitoring tools like Prometheus.
* You are familiar with Scrum or Kanban.
* Ensure Continuous Delivery.
* Deploy and scale container based micro services (Kubernetes, Docker).
What you bring to the table:
* You have at least 5 years of DevOps experience on cloud infrastructures.
* You have a formal education in computer science? Cool. You don't? Also cool, tell us your story.
* You have practical experience in Continuous Integration and Delivery. And you deliver.
* You are used to working independently in a challenging environment.
* You are experienced in working with system automation and monitoring.
* You know how to handle Linux.
* Your tools and stack include Gitlab and SonarQube.
* You know what the difference between a "solution" for a single problem and a "concept" is. Ideally, you are eager to participate in the development of concepts.
* Bonus: You speak German, and if not, the idea of learning it appeals to you.
* You're passionate about your work, but also know how to enjoy your free time.
