QuikPath is looking to hire an Assay Development Scientist to lead the Design and Development of rapid assays for its Point-of-Care (POC) diagnostic platform technology. The candidate will have hands-on experience in molecular assay design (qPCR or other techniques), as well as strong background/ fundamentals in primer design, assay optimizations and sample preparation. They must understand commercial diagnostic assays, especially rapid, multiplexed reaction detection

As an Assay Development Scientist, you will work both independently and in-collaboration with medical professionals and the rest of the team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit. As one of our first employees, you will gain exposure to different verticals in the company and may also be called upon to help in associated tasks in true start up fashion

Key Requirements:

• Able to design, execute and validate PCR- based assays for POC system
• Able to optimize assay performance
• Conduct in-vitro diagnostic studies with samples from human subjects
• Prepare SOPs, validation and bio-analytical reports
• Actively participate in multi-functional teams to assist in product launch
• Conduct verification and validation studies leading to regulatory submissions
• Supervise interns/ lab technicians

Qualifications:

• Ph.D./ M.S./ M.Sc. in Biological Sciences or related field (Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Protein Chemistry, Microfluidics)
• Minimum 2- 5 years relevant laboratory experience in academic, pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting
