About Traverse...

Traverse is building automation software for the engineering design of capital projects such as highways, cities, power plants, mining and rail. We recently graduated from YCombinator and raised a seed round from top SV investors.

About this role...

In this role, you will be shadowing civil, mechanical and electrical engineers to modularize and automate their workflows:

- translate civil, mechanical and electrical engineering methodologies and equations into code,
- implement efficient algorithms that evaluate billions of possible project permutations spanning continents,
- process satellite and aerial acquired data using both ML and classical methods,
- architect platforms for streaming of sensor data into a larger simulation infrastructure,
- API-fy various scientific and engineering software and daisy chain them onto larger simulation infrastructure,
- extract statistics of very large datasets using ML and classical methods,
- build custom made remote sensing attachments for drones and vehicles.

We’re looking for someone who:

- is a fresh graduate (up to 3 years of experience),
- has formal training in computer science,
- has built some software before, preferably as part of a team,
- has key traits of humility, patience, curiosity and nice-ness.
