Required Skills

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proven software development experience in PHP.
• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery/NodeJS).
• Able to write clean and well commented code.
• Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas.
• Good knowledge of MySQL, relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services.
• Relevant experience using source control systems (SVN/GIT)
• Relevant experience in working with online payment solutions/ gateways is a plus.
• Experience in OpenCart / Magento is a big plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Write “clean”, well-designed code.
• Perform code reviews and keep the source code under control in Git.
• Create code that may persist for the lifetime of a software version.
• Writing technical software requirements.
• Produce detailed specifications.
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
• Deploy applications in Linux environments.
• Fixing bugs and addition of upgrades to the front and back-end.
• Implement and monitor third party scripts, software, or extensions.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary.
• Work with team to continue to design and develop a PHP Ecommerce platform based on OpenCart and Magento.
• Participate in architecture discussions, propose, and discuss solutions to system and product changes that are directly related to your area of focus.
• Work closely with online marketing team to upgrade website and integrate with marketing requirements.
