We are looking for an IoT Engineer who is proficient in embedded software and/or hardware development. While your main task is responsible for IoT products’ hardware design based on required product specification, you will also design and develop firmware and software on a variety of platforms and software tools. The ideal candidate will be able to take lead in the product engineering process including technical research, different levels of machine integration with other manufacturers, prototype development, testing to production. This position requires a high degree of flexibility as well as analytical and interpersonal skills. If you are interested in contributing to the success of a start-up, we want you.

YOUR ROLE

• Take lead and responsibility for the design, reviews and overall quality of the hardware
• Documentation of design specifications and implementation details
• Uphold hardware design standards and methodologies
• Supplier and manufacturer sourcing, quotation, costing and coordination up to product delivery
• Realization of complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable hardware solutions
• Responsibility for the complete implementation of detailed technical items and an understanding/appreciation of system-level items
• Collaboration with other team members (including both hardware and software engineers) to agree on system designs, interfaces, protocols and etc

**WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or a comparable degree
• Minimum of 5 years’ proven design experience in the industry
• Very good knowledge of embedded circuit development
• Good understanding of IoT wireless communication technologies
• Proficient in designing PCBs and schematic layouts
• Excellent knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design
• Hands-on experience with the soldering iron for the creation of test circuits
• Knowledge of high-speed serial networks
• Knows RF electronics
• Solid microcontroller programming skills in C/C++
• Good understanding of one scripting language (Python, Bash, Go etc.)
• Experience in using Git version control system
• Experience in writing unit tests, preferred but not mandatory
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills
• Able to support/debug hardware system integration
• Good communicator
• Process good verbal and written communication skill in English
• Proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to learn with strong senses of responsibility
