Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Kiplot is a flexible, data visualisation web application allowing our customers to present and understand their data. We are on a mission to enable large organisations to realise their digital transformation agenda by scaling their agile practices alongside their traditional project portfolios. We are a growing tech startup* and our customers are financial institutions ranging from startups to tier 1 banks, both in the UK and overseas.

About the role

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you'll join a small, multi-skilled, adaptive technical team providing full stack development. You will be designing, reviewing and building new product features; be investigating production and customer issues and be maintaining multiple production environments hosted on a variety of cloud providers. You'll have the opportunity to take ideas from inception through to delivery.

You'll be developing in Typescript using React with Redux on the frontend and Node on the backend. Testing with Jest. Persisting with PostgreSQL. And deploying to AWS and Azure using Docker, Gitlab-CI and Terraform.

About you

You will have a problem solving mindset and an eagerness to see things through to the end. You’ll have a broad technical repertoire but with a focus and passion for frontend development. You'll:

• have experience developing with Typescript
• be confident leading frontend development in a React & Redux web application
• have experience in designing and building RESTful HTTP APIs
• be familiar with at least one SQL database
• have experience deploying an application to the cloud
• have experience supporting a web based product or tool
• have had responsibilities for refining and designing solutions for end user requirements

You'll be joining a swiss-army-knife technical team and you'll need to be comfortable switching between different technical specialisms.
