Job brief:
The Legal Counsel will handle legal matters pertaining to Fuse business operation, including without limitation to reviewing contract, conduct research, drafting, legal due diligence in wide array of regulatory framework including liaising with our external counsel. This role reports to Lead of Legal.
Responsibilities:
- Providing clear and business-driven legal advisory on all legal aspects of Fuse operation, product and services, and/or strategic partnership
- Providing legal support for cross-functional departments
- Mentoring junior legal staff, as well as working alongside other Legal Counsel in collaboratively managing all legal matters and affairs
- Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing various range of legal documents across Fuse business Ensuring the fulfilment of all legal compliance and obligations for Fuse business, specifically in insurance industry
- Liaising and coordinating with external counsel as required
- Advising on resolutions of disputes, litigation and/or regulatory matters, including contracts, intellectual property rights, data privacy, and/or employment issues affecting the business
Key qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in law
- Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English
- 5 – 7 years’ experience as a corporate lawyer at a reputable firm and/or in-house legal practitioner (having an advocate license (Peradi) is an advantage)
- Exposure to and/or practical experience in the field of insurance, fintech, privacy law, finance, business transaction, and/or intellectual property rights
- Excellent legal drafting and writing skills both in Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Excellent research, verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem- solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to work well within the legal team and internal/external stakeholder
