About the role：

• Develop and deliver the strategic vision and direction in R&D for the Flow data management platform for various AI applications perception data and evolve as the team grows.
• Build and lead the R&D team to deliver software, infrastructure, and architecture that meet the needs of both AI customers and the community of labelers who work remotely from home.
• Work effectively with project managers and the operation team to ensure structured data delivery meets the AI industry’s standard.
• Implement mechanisms to monitor, manage and provide clear & visible progress on all software development activities.
• Survey and identify the latest technology trends which can support the future success of the business by rapid prototyping.
• Promote strong engineering principles including writing DRY code, test-driven development (unit, functional and end-to-end testing), code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Mentor and ensure the performance of members of the R&D team.

【Must】
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of professional software development expertise.
• Familiar with the latest technological trends and (open source solutions) which can be leveraged to the existing AI data management platform.
• Solid experience/understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies from the beginning (technology survey and making PoC prototypes) to the operation (DevOps).
• Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Passionate in solving problems by providing feasible solutions in a reasonable timeframe.
• Be an excellent communicator with engineers and stakeholders with an open mindset.


【Plus】
•Familiar with full-stack technologies (front-end, back-end, and DevOps).
•Familiar with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
•Familiar with effective large-scale data processing and management.
•Familiar with machine learning technologies.
•Past experience of working in tech start-ups as R&D lead.
