We’re looking for top-notch talents to help us manages and oversees the design and development of software applications. As an Engineering Manager, you will working closely with Engineering Team to ensure the best practices around software development.

Job Description:

Team strategy

• Interpreting cycle focus from Head of Engineering
• Driver/delegator of work; 
• Know when to acts as a "team lead"

Product work and communication

• Making personal contributions to product development work (programming, technical design, Ops, customer happiness)
• Writing heartbeats and kick-offs (with input from team) or contributing to Head of Engineering reports; providing status updates in between as needed

People management: admin

• Formal performance evaluations for team every quarter
• Creating and tracking performance improvement plans for team as needed

People management: personal

• Continually identifying and addressing potential performance problems in team
• Maintaining general cohesion of team (via 1:1s, group hangout, etc.)
• Anticipating and addressing morale issues
• Keeping the pulse of the emotional well-being of team including workload, attachment to work, on the lookout for fatigue or burnout, team advocate
• Translating team feedback on overall company direction and morale to Head of Engineering

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering
• 1+ years of experience in managing software engineers team
• Proficient in PHP, preferable in Laravel and Lumen
• Proficient in Git
• Proficient in React Native (EM for mobile apps)
• Good basic understanding in JavaScript, Go, TypeScript, Node.js, Any modern front end framework e.g. Angular, Vue.js
• Understand concept of DevOps
• 1+ years of experience in unit testing
• Know how to deliver a technical presentation
• Good understanding in software architecture, enough to contribute in Technical Requirement Design writing
