About the role

As the 『Front-end Engineer』, you will have an opportunity to have a massive impact, designing and implementing our front-end architecture that can support our product for years to come.

This person will find a balance between delivering the best customer experience while optimizing for performance, using beautifully simple visual elements and interfaces, bridging the gap between design and code.

Responsibilities

• Develop new user-facing features focused in performance and accessibility
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Work with the product team to make architecture/framework decisions
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Jump in wherever needed — we’re a small & scrappy team!

Skills

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Proactive, good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Very good knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Experienced in working on RESTful APIs
• Familiar with Typescript and modern Javascript
• Familiar with modern Frontend libraries/frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte, etc...)
• Familiar with asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Familiar with design tools such as Sketch, Illustrator, and Figma
• Knowing TailwindCSS, SEO, GraphQL API, and SQL is a plus

• Interested in and love UI / UX design
• You like to showcase the uniqueness of websites you have made
• Deliver first mindset but leave spaces for extensibility
• You instinctively "View page source" and "cmd+option i" on new pages
