What is Yup?

Yup is a universal, disintermediated layer of social consensus that determines the social value of online content like Tweets, YouTube videos and news articles. It provides stronger incentives for giving meaningful opinions online by allowing users to earn money and influence if their opinion is supported by other influential members of the community.

Who are we?

We’re a group of technologists and product enthusiasts passionate about leveraging emerging technologies to solve hard problems in new ways. Our team comes from diverse backgrounds with experience at companies like Google, Microsoft, Chanel, and West Point.

We are ideally looking to fill the role some time this January.

What you'll be doing:

• Developing products for interacting with the Yup blockchain protocol
• Improving the performance and reliability of existing products and services (e.g our Chrome extension, web app, and supporting services)
• Building, testing, and deploying features with tools like React, Web3, Vue, ES6, Material-UI, and Webpack

What we look for in you:

• Experience with modern JavaScript/Node.js
• Experience building user-facing features using component-based UI frameworks like React or Vue
• Attention to code quality, maintainability, and scalability

Nice to haves:

• You've worked directly with production React or Vue apps
• You have general knowledge / experience with blockchain and cryptocurrencies
