Key Responsibilities:
- Research & Reports
- Participate in the Roadmapping Engine – create new technical roadmaps, and maintain existing ones, by engaging with technical content experts and synthesizing sourced, individual roadmaps into comprehensive global strategies; determine expansion areas of SP’s Energy and the Environment engagements for next generation roadmapping and investments
- Coordinate and build relationships with candidates for the Energy and the Environment Advisory Board
- Design and implement investment pipeline tracking process
Investments:
- Take part in due diligence for selected deals, including conducting market, product, technical research, as well as taking notes and summarizing relevant conversations/pitch meetings
- Prepare investment memos articulating technical rationale to support economic decision making
- Help set up and monitor investment portfolio tracking process
Operations & Networks:
- Manage and be an active member of the SP Energy and the Environment and Physical Sciences community
- Perform regular landscape analysis of potential funding partners, investors, experts, advisors, academics, technologists, and entrepreneurs, and other related professionals
- Support expanding and sustaining relationships with individuals and organizations in the company network
Requirements:

- System thinkers with broad areas of intellectual interest
Education:
BS, MS, or PhD in Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Earth Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, Environmental Studies etc.
Scope:
Location: Remote, with travels as needed
Hours: 15 per week
Compensation: Competitive consultant fees with the option to apply directly for a full-time position
