Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like solar PV and batteries. Today we develop, construct and operate wind generation in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. In addition, we have a clear strategy to develop our solar PV and battery operations further.
Business Unit Offshore is responsible to manage and operate all Offshore wind parks as well as Offshore wind projects with regards to development, construction and execution within the Region Continental/UK.

For our Foundation Management department within Business Area Wind, we are looking for an
Associate Project Engineer (Foundations).

The Foundations department is the competence centre for all civil and structural related aspects of a wind farm offshore, supplying cradle to cradle services, technical competences and project management all under one roof. Within the Foundation Management department as part of Foundations we are in particular focussing on project management starting from cost estimations and business cases to secure our portfolio of future projects, actively driving the development of new and improving products, supervising and managing our contractors throughout project execution as well as supporting our running fleet while the operation and maintenance phase.
We build on continuous improvement and an entrepreneurial mind-set in order to set the standard for future offshore wind turbine foundations.
Location
Office can either be Hamburg, Kolding or Amsterdam but occasional travel within northern Europe should be expected.
As Associate Project Engineer for Foundations you will become a key member of our Foundations product and package project teams. Your main responsibility and focus will be to gain a thorough inside and knowledge on the interfaces and issues from a product development into product implementation while execution and later operation of our foundations. You will engage and work together with engineers and managers across different disciplines to handle tasks within Vattenfall’s project organizations.

You are a civil, mechanical or industrial engineer with a bit of experience or just freshly graduated from university. You have the ability to see things from the helicopter and can connect loose ends. You have an innovative mind-set and can see yourself working in an environment where we value entrepreneurship, the pragmatic approach and helpfulness in our daily work. You can work self-dependent while sharing and seeking knowledge in the team. You show initiative and have a flexible approach to your work. You possess good interpersonal skills and can communicate technical messages on a clear and constructive way. You are able to cope with pressure and you are working result-oriented and meet required deadlines.
