    HelloTalk (www.hellotalk.com), a language learning social network with over 7 million members, is looking for a Head of Community.

     

    This is a great opportunity to take the reigns of a thriving international community and define our future!

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage our internal HelloTalk community and all social channels.
    • Define our content strategy and manage it across all channels.
    • Be the written “voice” of HelloTalk. This includes marketing materials, and also working with the product team to improve copywriting in the UI.
    • Create activities to engage and grow the community, both as a whole and specific language speaker/learner groups.
    • Measure the impact of activities and campaigns to drive user engagement and growth.
    • Identify opportunities for product improvements based on community feedback.
    • Manage other team members and volunteers on the community team.
    • Work with our customer service team to triage issues as needed.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Native / fluent English speaker (some level of Chinese and other languages is a bonus).
    • Passionate about languages and/or culture.
    • Good eye for quality content and willingness to experiment to find what that means.
    • Excellent written communicator with a friendly, informal tone.
    • Prior experience with community management and content creation.

     

    The ideal candidate would work out of our Shenzhen HQ and/or our Hong Kong office, with possibility to go remote.
