    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Head of Sales, reporting to the CEO, will drive significant and sustained revenue growth. As a member of the leadership team, this person will personally close large customers and lead an exceptional sales organization. Specific responsibilities include:

    • Build an explosive go-to-market engine. Build and execute on overall Sales strategy to drive Guidewheel’s immediate and long-term growth in line with company strategy.
    • Within 90 days, you’ll have highest-leverage areas identified, plan in place, and highest-leverage initial actions complete to create a repeatable Go-to-Market engine from lead gen through the rest of the sales funnel. You’ll have worked with the leadership team to establish target metrics along with a strategic, data-driven budget.
    • Build a world-class team. Coach existing AEs and outsourced SDR team and actively recruit and develop great talent, and build a culture of world-class performance. Within 30 days, you’ll have built and be executing on a plan to scale sales talent in line with revenue goals.
    • Create a strong pipeline of leads. Work with marketing to build demand and pipeline. Define, measure, and actively build to ensure we meet or exceed pipeline creation targets for sustainable high velocity of great, qualified leads.
    • Set customers up for success + expansion. Work closely with the Head of Customer Experience to ensure a strong handoff between sales and Customer Experience that sets the stage for our Land and Expand engine.
    • Build an engine that continuously improves using data. Work closely with the CEO and Leadership Team to define the metrics that matter most. Leverage data to run and continuously improve a rigorous, disciplined, and repeatable sales process. Systematize and build a culture of continuous, data-driven testing and improvement so we are always getting better.

    PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • 10+ years of overall sales experience
    • 5+ years of sales management experience in fast-growing technology-based company
    • Experienced in selling new solutions and disruptive technology
    • Mastered effective sales techniques through on-the-job learning at successful company and/or reputable sales training firm
    • Demonstrated P&L experience and proven track record of consistently exceeding individual and team revenue, sales and/or other quantitative goals
    • A “talent magnet” with a strong track record of successfully recruiting and developing salespersons and building high performing teams
    • Extensive experience personally structuring deals and negotiating terms
    • Executive presence and effective interacting solo with C-level audiences
    • Previously built a successful “sales machine,” including ideal customer profiles and buyer personas, demand generation, messaging and sales collateral, customer onboarding, customer retention, salesperson recruiting, learning and development, compensation plans, CRM and reporting systems, pipeline and closing data reports, and scalable processes
    • BA or BS degree; MBA is an added benefit.

    THE LOCATION

    Anywhere! Guidewheel is a distributed team and our expectation is to remain 100% remote-first for the foreseeable future. For this role, you’ll be working with a team on North American time zones.
