    Our main sites are located in Paris, Munich and Newport, were we run our own Security Operations Centres (SOCs), but we also have several smaller offices in our home countries and support customers across Europe.

     

    Description of the job - Tasks & accountabilities

    Head of Programs Germany (d/f/m)

    As a European cyber security specialist, Airbus CyberSecurity protects government and defence organizations, critical infrastructure and industry from cyber threats. Our reliable and high-performance security products as well as services help detect, analyze and combat the most advanced cyber attacks.

    The vastly growing Defence and Strategic Programs business of Airbus CyberSecurity Germany is looking for a head of programs. The programs department organizes bid activities, provides project management and project management office tasks for a number of engineering teams. The business focuses on cybersecurity system engineering, information security concepts, product development and integration projects in the fields of aerospace platform security and defence activities.

    The tasks of the Programs department include all activities related to the bid and project management in Airbus CyberSecurity’s Defence and Strategic Programs business in Germany, in particular:

    • Disciplinary leadership, performance of yearly reviews, goal setting, development talks and further disciplinary tasks
    • Responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and the colleagues’ development
    • Performing resource and task planning for the team and aligning with the department’s neighboring teams
    • Planning and control of the team’s development and competences
    • Contribution to the planning of the cost center, budgets, and R&D funds
    • Delivery of business projects for German and International customers, through other Airbus entities or directly
    • Set up and delivery of innovation projects
    • Business growth by managing bids and delivering winning offers to German and International customers
    • Manage the workforce of the department in Germany, ensure motivation, engagement and commitments across the business
    • Responsible for the P&L of German and international business projects
    • Responsible for the innovation projects and of their consistency with business orientations
    • Responsible for the reporting on these programs and on the global project portfolio
    • Manage programs and projects on time, on quality, and on cost. Manage customer and stakeholder relationships and their satisfaction
    • Drive Airbus-internal, national and transnational offers to develop the business inside existing and future programs
    • Work closely with the heads of the engineering teams to staff the bids and projects
    • Resource planning, provide inputs for future workforce needs
    • Set up ad-hoc and strategic partnerships to support programs and opportunities
    • Elaborate and setup with the finance organization the business model adapted to each specific context
    • Set up bid offers with bid managers in collaboration with the sales organization on national and international levels
    • Set up bid offers with project managers for the innovation part in collaboration with the Airbus Cybersecurity central innovation team
    • Support the sales organization to increase the customer intimacy in order to develop the business after or in parallel of projects.
     

    Required skills

    We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

    • Excellent leadership skills and experience in team management
    • Energetic and enthusiastic attitude, willingness to win campaigns
    • Completed university degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, business studies or equivalent
    • In-depth IT security and cybersecurity know-how
    • In-depth experience in program management, project management and bid management
    • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and handling of tight schedules
    • PMI PMP certification or equivalent desirable
    • APMP Foundation and Practitioner desirable
    • Experience in risk assessment methodologies and knowledge of relevant cybersecurity standards desirable
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and moving deadlines
    • Comfortable with opting in and supporting other colleagues according to business needs
    • Willingness to travel and work away from home when necessary
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
    • Willingness to apply for personal security clearance (Ü2)
