    Lead User Researcher: up to £72,933 plus 27.9% pension, flexible working and 60% home working

    We're want a talented, enthusiastic and empathetic Lead User Researcher to join our team.

    You'll need an appetite for big challenge and the skills to taking lead and oversee all research activities across DWP's Health Transformation programme.

    You'll define and assure UR best practice, influencing organisational research strategy. You and your projects teams will deliver high quality research.

    At a programme leadership level, you'll lead on research strategy. You will drive forward the adoption of a wide range of user research methods and analysis techniques which will help us understand and meet the needs of our users.

    You'll have chance to share your skills with our brilliant UR community. You'll coach, mentor and support our User Researchers and them to develop their skills, so that they provide high quality research

    We're hiring you for your deep knowledge and expertise, because you understand the power of good User Research. You'll be a champion of user centred design practices and an advocate for the value of what we do.

    Your skills:

    • Extensive experience as a User Researcher or appropriate experience of other fields of research.
    • Proven experience building and leading a User Research team and expert understanding of different research methods.
    • Strong analytical ability to identify patterns and connections in research outcomes
    • Expertise in designing, facilitating, and analysing a wide range of user research using a variety of methods to build a rich picture of users.
    • Expertise in user centred design practices and embedding them into an agile workflow.
    • Experience of advocating for inclusive practices - conducting research that includes all kinds of users
    • Experience in building skills and capability successfully in large, complex public or private sector organisations.
