About the jobTernary is seeking a product manager to help build the best FinOps cost management platform in the market. Ternary helps engineers, financial analysts and business leaders optimize every dollar spent on cloud computing within their companies.
This role reports to the CPO.
We:
Are a passionate team of engineers, financial analysts, and product/engineering leaders devoted to building the platform that would have best helped us deal with cost overruns in our past roles.
Have a founding team with extensive experience leading large software projects; having migrated an entire company from a datacenter to 100% Google Cloud.
Have raised our initial funding from Operator Partners (Zach Weinberg, Nat Turner), Greycroft, Correlation Ventures, Oceans Ventures, and other angel investors (Auren Hoffman and others)
Work with the most influential Google Cloud Partners: SADA (Google Cloud Partner of the Year for two years), Cloudbakers, Cloudwerx, Katana1.
You:
Have experience taking a product from 0 to 1, or a personal portfolio with several completed projects that you can talk through in detail.
Are prepared to own the roadmap for your product and coordinate with your stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with the company vision.
Are a product manager with strong empathy who is ready to spend the time needed to understand our customers and when necessary articulate the difference between what they say and what they need.
Are comfortable turning customer feedback and product design ideas into wireframes and leading conversations about them with Engineers.
Are comfortable making trade-off decisions based on the data you have available and can balance business needs against technical constraints.
Are comfortable bringing process to the table and implementing just the right amount for a fast moving startup.
Are comfortable identifying and talking to any and all stakeholders to create alignment on product.
Are deeply familiar with costs in Google Cloud (GCP) and what drives them. (AWS and Azure experience a plus)
Familiarity with FinOps or Cloud Financial Management a plus
Are willing to work in a mostly-remote setting in a Continental USA time zone (from Pacific to Eastern.)
