About the Role

We are looking for an experienced data scientist who is passionate about solving problems with large data and machine learning models / algorithms to help Sundae get to the next level. As we continue to collect more information as a company, we need a candidate who can harness the power of big data to derive insights.

The ideal candidate is someone who is very comfortable with statistical concepts, has experience working with large structured & unstructured datasets, and can build complex machine learning models to optimize the business. They should also be comfortable working independently with various partner teams such as product, marketing, sales, and data engineering.

Responsibilities

 

Partner with product, marketing, sales, and other departments to identify business problems that can be solved using data

Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms to optimize the business

Collaborate with data engineers to deploy models to production

Design experiments to understand customer behavior

Identify & collect new data elements

Serve as a mentor for other analysts within the team

Perform various ad hoc analyses

 

About You

 

Sound knowledge of statistical methods & machine learning algorithms

Hands on experience in building predictive models and deploying them in production

Proficient in Python & SQL

Experience with AWS strongly preferred, or experience with other Cloud technologies (GCP, Azure)

Strong communication and presentation skills

Experience with Tableau a plus

Experience working with CRMs (we use Salesforce) is a plus

Domain expertise in real estate or finance is a plus

 

Qualifications

 

5-8 years of experience in data science/machine learning

Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field (math, data science, statistics) strongly preferred

Advanced degrees and certifications strongly preferred
