SiteRx gives them a better option. Our software equips doctors to incorporate clinical research as a patient care option, generating significant new income for their practice and providing patients access to potentially life-saving treatments. And the best part: this is achieved all while maintaining their existing workflow.

Your Mission:

As a Senior AWS Engineer, you are a subject matter expert within AWS infrastructure and AWS solutions. You will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of cloud-based solutions. You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams while maintaining excellent communication both written and verbal. You are able to take initiative when planning out processes, designs and roadmaps. 

You are also a collaborative leader, facilitating the relationships necessary to generate the most exciting new solutions. You have the ability to maintain a high level view as well as the ability to get into the details as needed on initiatives to help teams prioritize goals so that they can work most effectively, through weekly meetings and daily communication. You are an adept natural communicator, optimistic and positive, and can make hard work feel like a vocation. You identify with the success of the team, and dive in to do whatever it takes to create the best work. You thrive in an optimistic team environment where we deeply respect each other and try to leave each other feeling inspired and energized.

The ideal candidate will be local to our New York City office within a reasonable commute 2-3 days a week and able to successfully work within a hybrid on-site and remote environment. We are looking for a dynamic candidate that is adaptable and is able to pivot quickly in a fast paced ever-changing startup environment.

About You and The Role:

 

Maintains current AWS Infrastructure as well as plan and build out new AWS solutions.

Defines best practices, design, and coding standards as well as process analysis and design

Creates and continually updates infrastructure road map

Collaborates with CISO and Infrastructure team for ensuring application and infrastructure security

Lead multiple initiatives with a variety of teams, providing guidance and oversight of both design and execution 

Provide robust support to projects in the Pilot phase by building relationships with SiteRx’s product delivery teams

Checks in regularly with Engineering and Product leadership; facilitates meetings, workshops, and other processes necessary for a high-quality work product

Identifies good engineers and business facing partners to build out the right team to successfully complete initiatives

Has an open and flexible attitude toward developing alternate solutions and methods to enhance or supplant industry norms, and has enough knowledge to understand the impacts of the norms that are broken

Embodies the ethos and expands the ambitions of the SiteRx mission - empowering the fight to cure Alzheimer's!

 

Your Skills:

 

Will have had at least five years of hands-on AWS infrastructure administration

Data storage in AWS design experience

Demonstrate being able to take customer requirements and translate into technical designs

Can provide examples of infrastructure designs you authored

Be able to whiteboard technical solutions

Presentation skills to leadership

Can provide examples of infrastructure process documentation and improvements

Infrastructure security and compliance – HIPPA and SOC2 preferred

Extensive hands-on experience with both frontend and backend technologies including: Microservices architecture, Serverless technology, AWS stack, Cloud-native storage and monitoring.

Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in an enterprise environment

Ability to effectively communicate, influence and drive consensus between the business, technology teams and executive leadership in an organization with multiple lines of business

Ability to consider DEV & QA and Security needs as part of the overall architecture of a system

 

- Containerized workload using Docker or Kubernetes
