Job Summary:
As the Director of HR Technology you will drive a multi-year people technology portfolio strategy. You will ensure the strategy not only supports current day-to-day needs but also scales with the growth of the company. This position reports to the Head of IT and will build strong relationships and manage diverse groups of stakeholders at multiple levels, from end users to executives, across the company.
Responsibilities:
Work with key leaders throughout the organization to gather and prioritize needs for People Technology, come up with the most effective solutions for the future of the company and aligning on industry best practice solution designs, and successfully implement elegant and scalable systems
Develop a People Technology systems plan with People Services leadership to enhance HCM systems, optimize configurations and build a confirmed foundation to support our business growth with scalability, optimal leveraging of systems automation, streamlining processes, and delivering a great user experience
Owns technology road mapping for the People Services Team with Executive Leadership, based on vendor inputs, the business strategy, and in collaboration with IT and Functional technology teams
Expert understanding of the landscape of other vendor technologies emerging and, on the market, today. Hosts semiannual emerging technology sessions with partners
Assess current system and utilization; identify and recommend improvements such as training, customization, process automation, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of the People Technology platform
Interprets vision and translates into requirements for technology teams and advises management on organizational policy matters related to the platform. Validates requirements against the marketplace and stakeholder groups via pilots and focus groups to ensure the voice of the customer is considered
Provide support for People Technology and integrations including, but not limited to, researching, and resolving problems, unexpected results, data validations, or process errors; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions to meet requirements and automate manual workflows
Assists in removing obstacles, resolves conflicts and ensures alignment. Anticipates objections and develops constructive conflict management, mediation, and negotiating tactics to achieve/maintain buy-in and support
Applies continuous improvement principles and processes (i.e. Root cause analysis, after action sessions) with the organization to ensure the continued success of the
Functional and technical intimacy within the People Technology suite of tools to be able to consult on process improvements or technology based on the future state technology roadmaps
Ensure system compliance with data security, privacy requirements, policies, laws and regulations regarding compensation and data reporting and assist with development and data gathering related to compliance-related reporting and projects
Advocates for Employee Experience vision, roadmap and priorities amongst other value streams and portfolios, while being a good steward of enterprise priorities and resources
Anticipates Employee needs and proactively addresses technical and functional gaps. Identifies potential issues and pro-actively develops mitigation plans
Manage vendor contracts including assisting procurement in vendor negotiations, and work with outside consultants as needed

Strong understanding of HR processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules and benefit procedures to ensure correct implementation
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Thorough understanding of functional analysis and system design
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to effectively train others
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and provide conclusions or approaches to the job
Must be able to interpret complex documents and formulate an opinion
Identify potential problems that may arise in the corporation or between personnel and provide recommendations for resolution
Must have the ability to listen and understand employee concerns and formulate a decision to resolve the issues
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required
Master’s degree in human resource management, MIS, computer science or related degree preferred
At least eight (8) years’ experience with HR business systems
Solid systems experience, an operations mindset, is passionate about improving the employee and manager experience, and has a desire to lead a team focused on transforming HR’s global system capabilities
Ability to work at and across all levels in the organization, manage external providers, and interact with external providers and agencies
Experience with Oracle HCM or Workday HCM and experience with HCM migrations is essential
Demonstrated experience leading and delivering complex, enterprise-wide projects
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to effectively assess and prioritize projects and initiatives and manage the team to multiple, parallel deliverables
Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements governing HR as well as data privacy, including GDPR
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality when exposed to and handling employee data
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential a plus
Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential a plus
Systems implementation experience required
Some SQL or BI experience highly preferred

*The salary pay range for this position in Colorado is $150,000 - $170,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience. Our total compensation package also includes stock options. *
