About the jobThe Catering Operations Area Lead will help facilitate the day-to-day meal operations at some of our biggest clients, transfer equipment from our office to client sites, and assist with administrative duties related to the scheduling and training of our On-Site Specialists, Multi-Site Specialists and Site Leads located throughout the region. The role will focus on departmental logistics, but at times will also cover On-site Specialists shifts when necessary. To be successful in this role you will need to be able to shift gears with a “can do” attitude. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, eager-to-learn, has strong communication skills and is willing to take initiative to solve problems. This role will directly report to our Catering Operations Area Manager.
What you will do:
Cover planned absences as scheduled and cover unplanned absences as needed
Schedule new On-Site Specialists to shadow current employees while ensuring consistency in quality and level of service provided
Facilitate the inventory, ordering and transfer of Catering supplies from the Zerocater office to our various client sites throughout your assigned area
Other tasks as designated by departmental management
Qualifications for success:
Experience training a group of employees
Background in hospitality, food service, or similar customer-facing role
Adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to stay focused and organized while multitasking
True team player, willing to collaborate with others to ensure smooth execution
Responsible and an attentive candidate that can work effectively with little supervision
Physical requirements:
Able to lift at least 40 pounds
Able to kneel, crouch and bend
Able to walk up and down flights of stairs
Able to stand & walk for 3-4 hours on shift
A valid driver’s license and good driving record
Ability to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination
*Some client sites require you to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19. If you are presented with an offer of employment for one of these sites, you would be required to present proof that you are fully vaccinated as of your start date. Fully vaccinated is defined as two weeks after the last shot in a vaccination regimen. Some sites may also require a booster in a vaccination regimen. If you are not fully vaccinated, you would be eligible to work at a client site that does not require vaccination. *
Compensation:
This is a full-time hourly position at $24 per hour
You must have open availability which includes weekends and nights
You will be covering the San Francisco and Peninsula region
A typical schedule is 30-40 hours per week
