About the jobYou will be responsible for efficiently generating leads, exploring new markets, and working with the executive, business development, and marketing teams to identify new business opportunities for Gencove’s low-pass sequencing platform. You’ll be working closely with cutting edge applications in genomics to help make sequencing more actionable across a wide range of markets.
Gencove is a rapidly-growing startup developing a genome sequencing and analytics platform to enable the next generation of genomics applications in medicine and agriculture. We are revenue-generating with customers across the world, including leading genomics companies like BGI and universities like Stanford and the Weizmann Institute.
Requirements
Previous experience as a software sales SDR/BDR within the Life Sciences
Experience working as part of a startup or early-stage company
Previously worked in the life sciences/genomics domain
(Preferred) understanding of genomics and market dynamics
Knowledge of market research and value proposition
Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
Experience with cold outbound emails and platforms
Enthusiastic and passionate
Responsibilities
Prospect and pursue new business opportunities in designated markets.
Explore new markets and verticals as opportunities for business.
Perform prospecting activities such as cold calling, emailing and networking.
Build long-term relationships with key clients and prospects.
Illustrate the value of products and services to create growth opportunities
Participate in brainstorming, office activities, staff meetings and client meetings, researching and assisting with program development for existing clients and new prospects
Provide strategic and competitive feedback to the executive, marketing, and product teams about the market and product.
