Senior Zuora Developer - Plume Design｜Meet.jobs

We are looking for a Billing solutions-focused Senior Developer with architectural skills to join our growing Enterprise Applications Team. Using the Zuora platform and third-party applications, you will play a critical role in architecting, designing, developing, enhancing, and implementing practical and scalable solutions across many business functions. This position will work collaboratively to deliver complex solutions across a wide variety of stakeholders throughout the business focusing on B2B and B2C models. The candidate has to be a self-starter who can multitask in a dynamic environment juggling between multiple projects, able to work independently and accomplish tasks with minimal guidance to achieve our strategic initiatives. The Billing Platform architect/developer will analyze business requirements, propose software architecture, design, instruct business and developers on the proper design methods, define standard object model, and be hands-on with the development team.

Key Responsibilities:

• In-depth knowledge of Zuora Object Model, Workflows, Rest APIs, Product Catalog Management, Billing Payment Operations and Webhooks/Callouts
• Embrace the SDLC and leverage the capabilities of the Zuora platform to architect, create, and sustain tailored billing solutions to meet the distinct requirements of Plume businesses.
• Design and architect billing solutions using the features and functionality provided by the Zuora platform. This includes configuring and customizing Zuora's billing rules, workflows, and pricing models to align with the business requirements.
• Must have proficiency in translating business cases into solutions, leveraging the out-of-the-box configuration of Zuora and technical solutions based on Zuora APIs, data exports, Rate Plans creation (Ramp Deals, Pay-As-You-Grow, Tiers, Usage, Block pricing)
• Integrate the Zuora billing platform with other systems, such as CRM, ERP, or payment gateways, to enable seamless data flow and synchronization between systems. Additionally, develop customizations using Zuora's APIs and integrations to extend the platform's functionality with other systems.
• Expert in B2B and B2C Subscription Management like renewals, amendments, and other features with able to design and recommend solutions to fit unique customer requirements.
• Knowledge and Experience configuring email templates, invoice templates, Communication Profiles, Translation Profiles and Z-connect Apps.
• Establish and implement Salesforce connectors like Zuora 360 and Salesforce 360
• Partnering with business teams to define, document, and clarify business processes and requirements and recommend improvements.
• Provide Month/Quarter End Assistance to Finance and Revenue Team to support close of accounting period.
• Execute change management processes.
• Prepare and send accurate high-volume invoices to B2C and B2B customers.
• Develop and document business processes, procedures, and controls.
• Perform special projects as requested.
• Collaborate with the finance and revenue team to gather and analyze business requirements related to billing and revenue management processes.
• Conduct thorough testing of the billing solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and adherence to business requirements. This includes unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
• Automate billing processes using Zuora's workflow and automation capabilities. This involves designing and implementing workflows for invoice generation, payment processing, dunning, and revenue recognition.
• Managing and organizing customer and billing data within the Zuora platform, ensuring data integrity, and generating reports and analytics to provide insights into billing and subscription performance.
• Create and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, configuration guides, and user manuals, to facilitate effective usage and understanding of the Zuora billing system.
• Monitor the performance of the Zuora billing platform, apply updates and patches, and troubleshoot any issues or bugs that arise. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal teams or customers in resolving any issues or discrepancies related to the Zuora Billing platform.
• Keep up to date with the latest releases, features, and enhancements of the Zuora platform, as well as industry best practices for subscription billing, revenue recognition, and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience as a Zuora developer, Zuora architecture, design & hands-on implementation
• Hands-on experience in multi-platform integration and configuration skills
• 10+ years of experience implementing CRM solutions from start to finish, including the creation of business requirements and other formal documentation.
• Strong expertise in Zuora object models and architecture and CPQ integration, Process Re-engineering, Process Optimization, Process Standardization, API data flow, and Automation
• Experience and familiarity on working with tools like Salesforce, NetSuite, and Workato, etc.
• Familiarity with billing concepts, subscription management, pricing models, revenue recognition methodologies, Z-Billing, Z-Payments, Z-Reports, Callouts, Zuora Revenue, Zuora B2B Billing, Stripe, Shopify, Avalara Tax,etc
• Strong analytical skills are necessary to understand complex business requirements, identify system issues, and propose effective solutions.
• Ability to ensure accuracy and quality in billing configurations, pricing plans, and system customizations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather business requirements, translate requirements into technical solutions and guidance.
• Proficiency in documenting system designs, technical specifications, and test plans, as well as conducting unit testing and system integration testing.
• Have a continuous learning mindset, Willingness to stay updated with the latest Zuora platform features, best practices, and advancements in the billing domain. A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
• Should have experience with external application integration through SOAP and REST APIs.
• Ability to create complex process flows,UML Diagrams, that demonstrate business/system flows
• Experience as a self-starter and motivated individual who can lead through ambiguous situations.
• Experience with Agile development methodology and tools like JIRA & Confluence,etc
• Experience with project management tools like MS Project, Excel, Word, Smartsheets, etc
• Zuora Platform Knowledge is a must have
