We’re continuing to invest heavily in building the most talented team in the Creator Economy and are looking for a Global Product Policy Lead to support our mission.

    This role is based in San Francisco or NYC and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.

    About the Role:

    • Policy Development and Implementation by working cross-functionally to develop, update, and implement policies that are both creator-first and protective of creator-led communities.

    • Stakeholder Engagement through collaborating with internal teams (Product, Legal, Community, Engineering, and Trust & Safety), along with our creator communities to identify policy solutions, ensure consistent enforcement, and adapt to new challenges.

    • Research and Benchmarking of major industry trends, competitor practices, and regulations being introduced around the world to ensure Patreon's policies maintain industry leading standards. .

    • Product Influence through collaboration with product teams to embed policy considerations into the product development process, ensuring a safer user experience.

    • Education and Training of internal teams on policy updates and best practices.

    • Quality Assurance through working with stakeholders to build mechanisms for collecting feedback on our policies from creators, patrons, and other stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement.

    • Creator Policy and Product Engagement through soliciting and incorporating creator input into products and policies

    • Build External Narratives with our product marketing teams for product & policy developments

    About You:

    • 7+ years of experience in product policy, public policy, or a related field.

    • Strong understanding of online safety, content moderation, and the creator economy.

    • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence product and operational decisions.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Passion for protecting and empowering creators and their communities.

    • Demonstrated ability to handle complex, fast-paced, and ambiguous situations with a solution-oriented mindset.
