    About The Role & Team

    The VP of Corporate Engineering & Information Technology is a pivotal leadership role responsible for planning, defining, deploying, and managing our internal information systems, infrastructure technology, and enterprise data capabilities. This position is essential in enabling employee productivity, scaling our business, and accelerating growth. As the leader of our Corporate Engineering team, you will oversee a global, diverse team of technology professionals, including business systems, employee infrastructure technology, and enterprise data management teams. We seek a leader passionate about building world-class technology teams and driving business value through innovation. The ideal candidate will excel at leveraging technology and data to support business strategies and deliver significant business value.

    As a VP of Corporate Engineering & Information Technology, You Will:

    • Team Leadership: Build, develop, and nurture a high-performing, highly engaged, and talented global technology team that aligns with Amplitude's culture and values. Utilize on-shore, off-shore, and vendor resources for maximum global impact and effectiveness.
    • Technology Strategy, Planning & Performance: Implement industry best practices and collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to plan, define, and deliver on our CE commitments to maximize business impact.
    • Technology Portfolio Excellence: Engage stakeholders to build roadmaps, drive innovation, and maximize the use of platform technologies to address critical business challenges. Partner with the business to streamline, scale, and enable essential business workflows for efficient execution of critical processes. Celebrate the successes of the CE team and ensure effective engagement, collaboration, and communication models are in place.
    • Solution Delivery Excellence: Utilize the latest technology delivery techniques and disciplines to ensure high-quality, timely delivery of critical technology initiatives, combined with effective technology resource management.
    • Operational Excellence: Expertly manage our technology investment and infrastructure, ensuring effective policies, business continuity, security compliance, and management of technical debt to maintain a healthy, secure, and scalable technology infrastructure.

    You'll Be a Great Addition to the Team If You Have:

    • 15+ years of successful technology leadership roles in fast-moving high-tech environments, leading Corporate Engineering/Business Systems and Information Technology teams to achieve significant business impact.
    • Proven experience as an excellent technology team leader, having led global technology teams, including external vendors, off-shore, and on-shore resources across Business Systems, IT, and Enterprise Data Management.
    • Strong understanding and practical implementation of industry best practices, policies, procedures, compliance, and operations in managing and leveraging business systems. Practical delivery experience in core platforms such as Netsuite, Salesforce, Marketo, and Workday.
    • Successful background in business partnerships to build streamlined process workflows and leverage innovative technology solutions to maximize employee productivity.
    • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills, combined with strong executive presence and gravitas.
    • Degree/Master's in business technology-based subjects.

    Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $351,000 - $526,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)
