    Seeking Software Engineer to Battle Modern Day Slavery and Child Labor in Global Supply Chains

    We are FRDM (pronounced free•dom), an enterprise SaaS company that is transforming how businesses monitor and mitigate social and environmental risks in their global supply chains. Our first target is helping companies identify and address modern day slavery and child labor issues using big data, machine learning, and AI.

    We’re looking for a mission-driven Software Engineer to help us build our product to take it to the next level. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and ready to hit the ground running.

    Responsibilities

    • Write clean, maintainable and efficient code
    • Design robust, scalable and secure features
    • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
    • Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring and code standards)
    • Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into design

    Requirements

    • 3+ years of proven work experience as a Ruby on Rails developer
    • Demonstrable knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS and JQuery
    • Experience developing highly interactive applications
    • A firm grasp of object oriented analysis and design
    • Passion for writing great, simple, clean, efficient code
    • Good knowledge of relational databases
    • Previous work with the third party APIs
    • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or in related field
