Senior Software Engineer, Platform - thirdweb｜Meet.jobs

The role

Work in a small team of engineers to build and scale backend services for the thirdweb Platform. You will have ownership over some of the most important systems at thirdweb like accounts and billing, and make key decisions on architecture, developer experience, and implementation on critical systems that will span across all of thirdweb’s products.

What a typical week might look like

• Develop, maintain, and scale backend services used by every other service at thirdweb
• Collaborate with the product and design teams to work on solutions to solve customer challenges, plan new features, and iterate from lessons learned
• Communicate with our customers to assist in integrating thirdweb into their application or platform
• Write documentation associated with developer-facing functions or APIs

What we're looking for

• 4+ years experience working with backend services, with keen awareness of best practices
• Proven ability to take on complex, large-scale technical projects end-to-end in a team setting
• Interest in blockchain development (interacting with wallets or smart contracts)
• Experience in Javascript web frameworks (React, Next.js), Typescript, or NodeJS
• Excited about working in a fast-paced, unstructured environment that prioritizes delivering impact and learning over process
• Curious about technology outside of your direct expertise and have an appetite for learning
• A self-starter in proposing and carrying out technical solutions to ambiguous business problems

Bonus Points

• Experience in developer-first products (SDKs, API design, technical documentation)
