    Role: We are seeking a backend engineer to design, build, and maintain backend services and cloud infrastructure for our high traffic web search engine application.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop backend for user-facing features, such as LLM-powered research analysis, search engine enhancements, and ingestion of new datasets.
    • Manage database operations with Postgres.
    • Manage cloud infrastructure on GCP using Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment, monitoring, and autoscaling.
    • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, alerting, and load testing processes.

    Must Haves:

    • 5+ years of Web backend experience, including debugging production issues for high traffic apps.
    • Strong experience in Python, FastAPI, Postgres, and Redis.
    • Proficiency with Docker, including package management in cloud registries.
    • Experience in setting up monitoring, alerting, and load testing for cloud applications.
    • Experience in cloud infrastructure management, including configuration, deployment, and monitoring of autoscaled servers on GCP and Kubernetes.

    Nice to Haves:

    • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
    • Knowledge of web crawling, distributed pipelines, or ElasticSearch.
    • Understanding of cloud security best practices.
