What you’ll do

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer. In this role, you will be very hands-on and play a crucial role in designing and developing scalable backend services that power our products. You'll take full ownership of features in a fast-paced and evolving environment, working with a modern technology stack.

• Design and develop scalable applications
• Orchestrate features and minimize conflicts when working with other senior team members on the same codebase
• Champion architectural discussions and make key technical decisions regarding backend systems and infrastructure
• Actively participate in product and design discussions, contributing your expertise to solve complex problems
• Define, apply, and champion coding standards to ensure our platform is maintainable, reliable, adaptable, secure, testable, and usable

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience in backend software development
• Ability to design new systems and evaluate the tradeoffs in scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability
• Proficient in backend API and SQL databases like Postgres
• Self-starter with the ability to identify potential issues or areas of improvement and take action without needing direction
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate adaptability, and continuously seek to learn and solve new challenges independently
