    As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you will lead the creation of our web products for trucking fleets, truck stops, and other partners. You will work on a complex business payment app that is easy to use for everyone and is at the core of Mudflap.

    This is an opportunity to build at a rapid pace and have a significant impact on the hundreds of thousands of SMB trucking companies that rely on Mudflap.

    Expectations (In this role, you will):

    • Lead and Influence: You will champion the development of new features and steer the Mudflap product towards excellence. Your insights will shape the team's vision and long-range goals
    • Collaborate: You will work with product managers, designers, and backend engineers. You will help foster a culture of innovation and mutual respect
    • Be an expert: You will solve the hard technical problems we encounter. Your expertise will simplify complex technologies for non-technical stakeholders
    • Own it: You will lead projects from inception to deployment, ensuring a high quality standard and maintainability in your code

    • Mentor: You will guide the engineers on your team, boosting their skills and solving problems
    • Champion excellence and innovation: You will push the boundaries of what's possible, continuously seeking ways to improve our product, processes, and practices

    Experience (What we look for):

    • Extensive professional experience with VueJS or similar modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Ember, etc.)
    • Proven track record of writing high-quality, testable code and automated tests
    • A good grasp of basic web and browser ideas (like how a browser shows a web page)
    • Shown skill in tackling tough problems, creating systems that can grow, and guiding major tech projects
    • Proven ability to clearly explain complex tech problems and offer detailed solutions
    • Working knowledge of Ruby-on-Rails a plus
    • Experience in a peak performance organization, preferably a tech startup, a plus
    • Experience working with a remote team a plus

    The salary range for this role is $166,000 - $214,000. This information reflects a base salary range for this position based on current market data, which may be subject to change as new market data becomes available. The candidate's skills, experience, and other relevant factors will determine the exact compensation. This position may also be eligible for additional incentives such as equity awards or short-term incentives.
