The Security department at the British Museum is seeking a Contractor’s Desk and Key Pound Administrator to monitor the distribution of keys, prepare new passes and interact with individuals both internal and external to the Museum.
In this role, you will ensure that databases are accurately maintained and will prepare new passes for contractors, new members of staff, visitors and event staff. The post-holder will liaise directly with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and assist with any general queries to the Desk.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a security environment, ideally with experience of the cultural heritage/tourist industry. With basic literacy and numeracy skills, you will have knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as security principles, basic health and safety and fire regulations.
We are looking for a motivated individual who works well within a team and can engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will be able to use initiative and ensure that the highest standards are upheld with a variety of tasks.
