Audio Visual Support Technician - The British Museum｜Meet.jobs

Salary: £24,763 per annum pro-rata
Contract: Permanent (Full time: 41 hours per week (annualised hours))
The British Museum is recruiting for an Audio Visual Support Technician to join the Information Services team in supporting and maintaining the Museum’s audio visual services whilst facilitating the successful delivery of events as well as gallery and exhibitions installs.

The post-holder will work closely with internal and external individuals to identify their requirements and ensure that all technical equipment is maintained and operated to a high standard.

Qualified in A-levels or HND/NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, the successful candidate will possess demonstrable working knowledge of a wide range of audio visual and related systems in a variety of formats. With strong IT skills, you will have experience of working within an audio visual environment, preferably with experience of presentation and conference provision in a museum, education or similar environment.

You will be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external users, whilst working without supervision and under own initiative. As a point of contact for colleagues, you will be able to coordinate and organise users in a sensitive and diplomatic manner, remaining calm in unpredictable situations.
