Your business analysis expertise has helped you to shape organisations. To drive profits. To create savings. But what if you could use that expertise to protect UK lives - all 63.7 million of them?
At MI5, that’s the bottom line: everything we do - every piece of technology we invest in and every change project we undertake - is about protecting the nation. So for you, the challenges couldn’t be more complex, or more interesting. You’ll be tasked with identifying our business needs (which are far from conventional) and translating them into ground-breaking technical solutions. We’ll rely on your advice when it comes to driving through large-scale transformations, and your strategic thinking will be pivotal to multiple, business-critical projects.
You can expect to manage and develop your own team too, giving you an even broader influence on the way we work. And we’ll take your own development just as seriously - you can look forward to ongoing training and the chance to gain industry qualifications.
A natural leader with a considered and deliberate approach, you have a proven track record in leading the business analysis on both IT and non-IT related projects. Outstanding strategic skills will be essential to resolving problems and formulating complex approaches to business issues. Essentially, you'll be the bridge between our IT team and the wider business, so gravitas, poise and an innate ability to influence others are crucial. As well as having change management experience and strong business and benefits modelling skills, you'll be someone with strong stakeholder management skills - probably gained in a similarly large organisation.
If you have all of that, this is an opportunity to take the lead on some truly unique projects - projects that won’t just have an impact on our organisation, but that will have an impact on the nation.
To apply to MI5 you must be a born or naturalised British citizen, over 18 years old and normally have lived in the UK for nine of the last ten years.
