Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage mechanical design engineers and development project activities
• Identify mechanical risks and trade-offs between mechanical design, ID, tooling issues, cost, and schedule
• Manage risks throughout the product development cycle
• Conduct cross functional reviews to assure design integrity and compliance with product specifications and recognised industry design practises
• Identify, evaluate and resolve all mechanical development issues
• Track and report project status related to mechanical design

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in
• Electronics, Networking or IOT products
• Proficient in ProEngineer and/or Solidworks, 3D CAD skills
• Effective people and time management skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Mandarin speaking is an advantage due to the need to communicate with Chinese speaking stakeholders
• Those with more years of experience will be considered for Senior Mechanical Manager position
• This position will be based in China, Dongguan
