User Agreement

1. Introduction and Definition

1.1. Our website(https://meet.jobs/) and all related derivative services are built, maintained and provided by the Singapore firm "MIT.JOBS Pte. Ltd.".
1.2. Definition
1.2.1. "Company" means Singapore firm “MIT.JOBS Pte. Ltd”.
1.2.2. "Website" and "System" refer to the website which Meet.jobs operates through information and electronic devices such as computers and mobile phones to provide member services.
1.2.3. "Services" refers to the job search and referral services provided by Meet.jobs through the Website, network and physical channels.
1.2.4. "Members" means an individual( including Natural Persons and Juridical Persons) who agrees to this Agreement and uses the Meet.jobs Services.
1.2.5. "Account" refer to the electronic identity information that a Members hold after the completion of registration at Meet.jobs.
1.2.6. "Password" means an authorization code that is generated by the Members or automatically generated by the website to enable Members to register and log in Meet.jobs Services.
1.2.7. "Visitor" means an individual who has not registered as a Members and can only use incomplete Website features and Services.
1.3. You agree that by clicking “Sign Up”, “Join Now”, “Subscription Service” or similar, registering, accessing or using our Services, you are agreeing to enter into a legally binding contract with Meet.jobs. If you do not agree to this Agreement, do not click “Sign Up” (or similar) and do not access or otherwise use any of our Services. If you wish to terminate this Agreement, simply no longer access or use ours Services, or contact us to close your account.
1.4. This Agreement applies to our Website and all Services related to this Agreement. Meanwhile, This Agreement applies to both Members and Visitors.
1.5. As a Visitors or Members of our Services, the collection, use and sharing of your personal data is subject Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
1.6. We may modify this Agreement, our Privacy Policy and our Cookies Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to it, we will provide you notice through our Services, or by other means, to provide you the opportunity to review the changes before they become effective. We agree that changes cannot be retroactive. If you object to any changes, you shall no longer use or access ours Services, or contact us to close your account. Your continued use of our Services after our changes to these terms means that you are consenting to the updated terms.
1.7. Our membership Services can be divided into three parts: “Common Part”, “Job Search Part” and “Recommended Part”, which are explained in Articles 2, 3 and 4 of this Agreement.

2. Common Part

2.1. Members are Account holders. You agree to: (1) try to choose a strong and secure password; (2) keep your password secure and confidential; (3) not transfer any part of your Account and (4) follow the law, this Agreement, our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you have an interest agreement with another person, such as an employment relationship, others may have access to part of the service information available to your Account, but the paying party still does not have the right to use your member account.
2.2. If you use any of our paid Services, you agree to pay us the applicable fees, taxes and other fees. Failure to pay these fees will result in the termination of your paid Services. Also, you agree that:
A. Your purchase may be subject to foreign exchange fees or differences in prices based on location (e.g. exchange rates), or other fees.
B. We may store and continue billing your payment method (e.g. credit card) even after it has expired, to avoid interruptions in your Services and to use to pay other Services you may buy.
C. We may calculate taxes payable by you based on the billing information that you provide us at the time of purchase.
D. In the case of a continuous fee-based service, we have the right to charge before you cancel or suspend the Services on our System or by other method which can clearly record.
2.3. You agree that we will provide notices and messages to you in the following ways: (1) within the Services, or (2) sent to the contact information you provided us (e.g., email, mobile number, physical address). You can manage the messages you receive from Meet.jobs directly from the Settings in our Website.
2.4. You own the content and information that you submit or post to our Services, and you are only granting Meet.jobs following non-exclusive license:
A. You can end this license for specific content by deleting such content from the Services, except (a) to the content you shared it with others as part of the Services and they can copied, re-shared it or stored it and (b) for the reasonable time it takes to remove from backup and other systems.
B. We will not include your content in advertisements for the products and services of third parties to others without your separate consent (including sponsored content). However, we have the right, without payment to you or others, to serve ads near your content and information, and your social actions may be visible and included with ads, as noted in the Privacy Policy.
C. While we may edit and make format changes to your content (such as translating it, modifying the size, layout or file type or removing metadata), we will not modify the meaning of your expression.
D. Because you own your content and information and we only have non-exclusive rights to it, you may choose to make it available to others.
E. You agree that we may access, store, process and use any information and personal data that you provide in accordance with the terms of the Privacy Policy and your choices (including settings).
F. By submitting suggestions or other feedback regarding our Services to Meet.jobs, you agree that Meet.jobs can use and share (but does not have to) such feedback for any purpose without compensation to you.
G. You agree to only provide content or information that does not violate the law nor anyone’s rights (including intellectual property rights). You also agree that your profile information will be truthful. Meet.jobs may be required by law to remove certain information or content in certain countries. If the information you provide infringes others rights or intellectual property rights, you shall bear the relevant legal responsibilities.
2.5. We may change or discontinue any of our Services. We don’t promise to store or keep showing any information and content that you’ve posted. Meet.jobs is not a storage service. You agree that we have no obligation to store, maintain or provide you a copy of any content or information that you or others provide, except to the extent required by applicable law and as noted in our Privacy Policy.
2.6. By using the Services, you may encounter content or information that might be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, misleading, illegal, offensive or otherwise harmful. Meet.jobs generally does not review content provided by our Members or others. You agree that we are not responsible for others’ (including other Members’) content or information. We cannot always prevent this misuse of our Services, and you agree that we are not responsible for any such misuse. You also acknowledge the risk that you or your organization may be mistakenly associated with content about others when we let connections and followers know you or your organization were mentioned in the news.
2.7. We reserve the right to limit your use of the Services, including the number of your connections and your ability to contact other Members. We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate your account if We believes that you may be in breach of this Agreement or law or are misusing the Services.
2.8. We reserve all of its intellectual property rights in the Services. Using the Services does not give you any ownership in our Services or the content or information made available through our Services. Trademarks and logos used in connection with the Services are the trademarks of their respective owners. “Meet.jobs”, “meet.jobs”, “Meet.Jobs” and other trademarks, service marks, graphics, and logos used for our Services are trademarks or registered trademarks of Meet.jobs.
2.9. We will use the information and data that you provide and that we have about Members to make recommendations for connections, content and features that may be useful to you. For example, we use data and information about you to recommend jobs to you and you to recruiters. Keeping your profile accurate and up-to-date helps us to make these recommendations more accurate and relevant.

3. Job Application

3.1. After registering as an individual member, you, may search, save or directly apply for job opportunities posted on the website through Meet.jobs.
3.2. You may let recruiting enterprises, recruiters or headhunters find your information and contact you for job offers by setting up personal information and resume on Meet.jobs.
3.3. Once you are offered a job through the Services of Meet.jobs, you will obtain a “Hiring Bonus” of USD 100.00 (or equivalent local currency) provided by Meet.jobs, and is obliged to inform Meet.jobs of the job offered. Meet.jobs also welcomes you to share your job application and work experience through all means to help more members.
3.4. Job application and work shall be done with “integrity” and the attitude of mutual respect. If the business, institute or recruiting party requires you not to inform Meet.jobs of your offer in exchange of any benefits or conditions, you may report the same to Meet.jobs. Once the foregoing is found to be true, Meet.jobs will list the business as “not recommended” for its dishonest conduct and announce the same on the website. You may still obtain the “Report Appreciation” of USD 100.00 provided by Meet.jobs.
3.5. Following the foregoing, if you request the business or the recruiting party to provide any benefits in exchange of not telling Meet.jobs regarding the offer, once found to be true, Meet.jobs will list you as “not recommended” due to your dishonest conduct and announce the same to the business users. Because this will severely affect your future job application and career development, we hope you will value your “integrity” and not violate the same.
3.6. Following the foregoing, in the event your conduct violates general “integrity” and “respect”, such as making false statements on the job application materials or absenting from interviews without cause and notice or spread rumors regarding the recruiting enterprise, once found true, Meet.jobs will also list you as “not recommended” as announce the same to business users.
3.7. For the aforementioned “Hiring Bonus” of USD 100.00, because the laws, regulations, tax rates, payment methods, and charges are all different in each country, Meet.jobs will only pay USD 100.00 or the equivalent local currency and will not bear the costs and expenses of delivering it.
3.8. Save and except for the force majeure events, the “Hiring Bonus” will be delivered within 60 calendars days after reporting to work by cash or remittance.

4. Referral

4.1. After registering as an individual member, you may share and refer job opportunities on the website through Meet.jobs. Once it is confirmed that the “referral is accepted,” and the referred applicant has successfully worked in that business, you will receive “Referral Reward.”
4.2. 「The amount of the Referral Reward is 50% of the minimum of the monthly salary of that position when it was posted to Meet.jobs. Meet.jobs system will also label the amount of the Referral Reward directly. In the event the position is not posted to Meet.jobs (namely, the recruiting party searched resumes, invited candidates to interview and then offered the job), then it will be 50% of the actual monthly salary.
4.3. Payment Rule: The payment of Referral Reward will be within five business days after the applicant passes the recruiting business’ trial period. In the event the recruiting business does not have a specified trial period, then the trial period stipulated in the labor laws of the country where the job locates will prevail. In the event that neither of the foregoing applies, the payment date of the Referral Reward by Meet.jobs will be five business days after 90 calendar days.
4.4. Following the foregoing, while the referrer is not obliged to ensure that the recruiting business pays Meet.jobs service fee, if the business has not paid the fees, considering the payment costs, Meet.jobs will not pay the Referral Reward to the referrer. This situation usually occurs to business or employers who recruit through Meet.jobs for the first time, where the payment is delayed due to paperwork. We appreciate your understanding that Meet.jobs needs to pay the Referral Reward after receiving fees from the business.
4.5. “Successful Referral” Definition and Function
4.5.1. Referrer may generate his/her own “referral code” and “referral link” through the refer and share function of the Meet.jobs website. By sharing the referral code (or the referral link) to the applicant and making the applicant to apply for the job through Meet.jobs or registering a resume to be searched by the recruiting business, and the recruiting business confirms its employment on the system, it will be “successful referral.”
4.5.2. Following the foregoing, where the referrer obtains the applicant’s consent, s/he may use the application function of Meet.jobs website and submit the resume on behalf of the applicant to apply for the job. However, this referrer must obtain the applicant’s authorization of personal information. In the event there is any legal issues and damages deriving from the non-authorization, Meet.jobs is not liable therefor.
4.5.3. The referrer needs to share according to information about the business and the job published by the recruiting business on the Meet.jobs platform. The referrer needs to ensure the shared job and business information, including texts, pictures, and videos, are truthful and not exaggerated, false, leaking business secrets. In the event there is any legal issues and damages deriving from the falsity, exaggeration, counterfeit, leakage of business secrets, Meet.jobs is not liable therefor.
4.5.4 The foregoing “exaggerated, false, leaking business secrets” content not suitable for referral and sharing will be determined unilaterally by Meet.jobs and ruled. The referrer may not have any objections.
4.5.5 Following the above, if the shared content has any exaggerated, false, leaking business secrets information which causes disputes or any legal issues between the labor and the employer during the recruiting period or even the trial period, Meet.jobs is not liable therefor. In the event Meet.jobs suffers any damages therefrom, the referrer shall be liable to Meet.jobs.
4.6. Confidentiality of the Referrer
4.6.1. When the applicant is applying for the job, it will be able to see the username of the referrer on Meet.jobs system. Save and except for that, the applicant will not be able to obtain any personal and contact information of the referrer from Meet.jobs.
4.6.2. To protect the referrer’s privacy, the referrer’s information regarding the business will be shown as anonymous by default, and will not involve any information relevant to any users. If the referrer is willing to, s/he may choose to show his/her contact information to the business so that the business may contact the referrer to confirm the recruiting status, but the foregoing is not necessary.
4.6.3. Following the foregoing, if the referrer is willing to, s/he may choose to reveal the conversation between him/her and the business to the applicant for the applicant’s understanding to the questions raised by the business and the referrer’s answers, but the foregoing is not necessary.
4.7 If the referrer is the user of Meet.jobs website and the relevant software service, the parties are both independent individuals without employment, agent, hire for work, partnership. If the referrer has any legal disputes caused by abuses or incorrect uses of the referral and sharing mechanism of Meet.jobs, Meet.jobs is not liable therefor. In the event Meet.jobs suffers any damages therefrom, the referrer shall be liable to Meet.jobs.
4.8 Following the foregoing, Meet.jobs is entitled to terminate the referral and sharing authorization of a username.
4.9 For the aforementioned Referral Reward, because the laws, regulations, tax rates, payment method, and charges are different in each country, Meet.jobs will only pay the amount of the reward and will not bear the costs and expenses of its delivery.

5. Disclaimer and Limit of Liability

5.1. TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED UNDER LAW, MEET.JOBS (A) DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND REPRESENTATIONS (E.G. WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY OF DATA, AND NONINFRINGEMENT); (B) DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL FUNCTION WITHOUT INTERRUPTION OR ERRORS, AND (C) PROVIDE THE SERVICES (INCLUDING CONTENT AND INFORMATION) ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.
5.2. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER LAW, MEET.JOBS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU OR OTHERS FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, OPPORTUNITIES, REPUTATION, PROFITS OR REVENUES, RELATED TO THE SERVICES (E.G. OFFENSIVE OR DEFAMATORY STATEMENTS, DOWN TIME OR LOSS, USE OF, OR CHANGES TO, YOUR INFORMATION OR CONTENT).
THIS LIMITATION OF LIABILITY IS PART OF THE BASIS OF THE BARGAIN BETWEEN YOU AND MEET.JOBS AND SHALL APPLY TO ALL CLAIMS OF LIABILITY (E.G. WARRANTY, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, CONTRACT, LAW) AND EVEN IF MEET.JOBS HAS BEEN TOLD OF THE POSSIBILITY OF ANY SUCH DAMAGE, AND EVEN IF THESE REMEDIES FAIL THEIR ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.

6. Termination

6.1. Both you and Meet.jobs may terminate this Agreement at any time, provided that you notify the other party in writing or in other form which can be recorded. On termination, you lose the right to access or use the Services. The following shall survive after termination:
A. Our rights to use and disclose your feedback;
B. Members and/or Visitors’ rights to re-share content and information you shared through the Service in the extent copied or re-shared prior to termination;
C. Sections 5, 7, and 8 of this Agreement;
D. Any amounts owed by either party prior to termination remain owed after termination.

7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

7.1. Unless otherwise stipulated by laws and regulations, You and Meet.jobs agree that any dispute arising from this Agreement and/or “Services,” will be governed by the relevant laws and regulations of the Republic of China and shall be submitted to Taiwan Taipei District Court for the first instance.
7.2. If the Agreement has any parts or terms that cannot be performed, the parties both agree that the terms of the Agreement shall be revised in a way feasible and consistent with the original ends. If the revision is impossible, the parties agree to remove those parts incapable of being performed, and perform the rest of the term in the Agreement.
7.3. Within the extent permissible by laws, both the English version and the Traditional Chinese version are legally binding and other translations are only for the convenience of understanding. In the event there is any discrepancy in the clauses and terms between the different versions, then the Traditional Chinese version shall prevail. This Agreement is the final and complete consent of the parties and replaces any oral or written promises, understanding or other expresses submitted during the negotiation. The title of terms of this Agreement is only for reference, the parties agree that the title may not be used as the basis of interpretation.
7.4. If Meet.jobs does not take legal actions for breaches, it does not mean that Meet.jobs waive the right to perform this Agreement. Client may not assign or transfer this Agreement (or membership or use of service) without the consent of Meet.jobs. However, the Client agrees that Meet.jobs may assign this Agreement to relevant institutes or institutes purchases Meet.jobs.
7.5. You agree that the address specified in Article 10 will be the only way to provide Meet.jobs a legal notice.

8. Code of Practice for Meet.jobs

8.1. You agree to use Meet.jobs in accordance with the following principles:
A. Comply with all applicable laws, including, without limitation, privacy laws, intellectual property laws, anti-spam laws, export control laws, tax laws, and regulatory requirements;
B. Provide accurate information to us and keep it updated;
C. Use your real name on your profile; and
D. Use the Service in a professional manner and with the care of a good administrator.
8.2. You agree that you will not have the following behavior when using Meet.jobs:
A. Create a false identity on Meet.jobs, misrepresent your identity, create a profile that is not your own (non-real person), or use or attempt to use another’s account;
B. Develop, support or use software, devices, scripts, robots, or any other means or processes (including crawlers, browser plugins and add-ons, or any other technology) to scrape the Services or copy profiles and other data from the Services;
C. Override any security feature or bypass or circumvent any access controls or use limits of the Services;
D. Copy, use, disclose or distribute any information obtained from the Services, whether directly or through third parties (such as search engines), without the consent of Meet.jobs;
E. Disclose information that you do not have the consent to obtain (such as confidential information of others (including your employer));
F. Violate the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, or other proprietary rights. For example, do not copy or distribute (except through the available sharing functionality) the work information, posts or other content of others without their permission;
G. Violate the intellectual property or other rights of Meet.jobs, including, without limitation, (i)copying, modifying or distributing our articles, pictures, videos and other materials as commercial without consent or (ii) copying or distributing our technology, unless it is released under open source licenses; (iii) using the word “Meet.jobs” or our logos in any business name, email, or URL without consent;
H. Post anything that contains software viruses, worms, or any other harmful code;
I. Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decipher or otherwise attempt to derive the source code for the Services or any related technology that is not open source;
J. Imply or state that you are affiliated with Meet.jobs or have obtained or will obtain an endorsement of Meet.jobs without consent;
K. Rent, lease, loan, trade, sell/re-sell Services or related data or their access rights, or otherwise use the Services or related data or their access rights to earn revenue, without consent;
L. Deep-link to our Services for any purpose other than to promote your profile or group on our Services, without consent;
M. Use bots or other automated methods to access the Services, add or download contacts, send or redirect messages;
N. Monitor the Services’ availability, performance or functionality for any competitive purpose;
O. Engage in “framing,” “mirroring,” or otherwise simulating the appearance or function of the Services;
P. Overlay or otherwise modify the Services or their appearance (such as by inserting elements into the Services or removing, covering, or obscuring an advertisement included on the Services);
Q. Interfere with the operation of, or place an unreasonable load on, the Services (e.g., spam, denial of service attack, viruses, gaming algorithms).

9. Complaints Regarding Content

9.1. We respect the intellectual property rights of others. We require that information posted by Members be accurate and not in violation of the intellectual property rights or other rights of third parties.
9.2. You can contact Meet.jobs through Section 10 "Contact Information " to complain about the above violation of intellectual property rights and all violations of this Agreement.
