    Job description
    As a Communications and Marketing Officer you'll:
    maintaining the UCU websites (student site, corporate site, intranet and bachelorsite);
    producing bimonthly newsletters for students and staff and other means of internal communication;
    producing weekly e-mail bulletins for staff;
    producing promotional publications;
    coordinating and organizing recruitment activities, such as the Open Days and campus visits. UCU has a student ambassadors team of dedicated volunteers;
    initiate national marketing initiatives in the Netherlands.

    Qualifications
    The ideal Communications and Marketing Officer is required to have a Bachelor degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences and:
    has an academic work level;
    is completely fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written);
    is acquainted with higher education in general;
    is familiar with the Dutch secondary education system;
    has proven publishing, editing and writing skills;
    knows how to work with Drupal and has web maintenance skills;
    is diplomatic and approachable with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of people;
    is well organized and flexible in approach;
    demonstrates excellent people skills;
    is able to work under pressure.

    Offer
    UCU offers an appointment of 1,0 FTE. This position is initially offered for one year. After that the position may be converted to a permanent position, depending on the performance of the candidate. The salary is based on qualifications and experience and will be within the range of gross €2.593,- and €3.908,- (salary scale 9 to 10 is on a fulltime basis) and is supplemented with a holiday allowance of 8% and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%. The UCU campus is conveniently located in a residential area of Utrecht between the city centre campus and the "Uithof" campus of Utrecht University. Its excellent facilities provide good working conditions. In addition we offer: a pension scheme, a partially paid parental leave.     About the organisation
    University College Utrecht (UCU) is the international (English language) Honors College of Utrecht University in Liberal Arts and Sciences. It offers students an academic and residential setting in which foundations are laid for their academic and/or professional careers. Among the special characteristics of the College are its small classes and individual attention. It provides an environment that encourages intellectual exchange among students and professors in a friendly and informal atmosphere. UCU is a selective College of 750 students of a wide range of nationalities. Its three departments: Humanities, Science and Social Science, cover a wide range of fields. About 250 course equivalents are offered yearly by approximately 150 teachers. An important part of the UCU education is the tutorial system providing personal guidance to UCU students. The UCU faculty consists of heads of department, fellows of the college, (assistant, associate and full) professors, visiting professors and teachers-tutors.
