    The British Museum has an exciting entry-level opportunity for a graduate to join the Development department and gain valuable experience and specialist training. To date all the previous trainees have been successful in securing their next career moves.

    The role involves working on a variety of tasks and projects, including supporting activities within the Individual Giving Team, maintaining and updating information on the fundraising database and preparing funding proposals. You will also help the team by drafting written materials for the Museum’s Patrons and individual supporters.

    Whilst being able to take initiative, you will also be expected to work as part of a team and proactively learn new skills. The post-holder will be able to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, to a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Experience of working within an office environment is desirable.

    You will have a keen interest in fundraising and be educated to degree level, or equivalent. Possessing excellent IT skills, you will have demonstrable experience of being able to multi task and meet deadlines. Voluntary experience in the arts, museum, or charity sectors is desirable.
