Daraz is the "Amazon model" of Rocket Internet, which has proved extremely successful across emerging markets. We are now getting ready to conquer the last of the major emerging markets in South and South East Asia ranging across Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Pakistan and others. There are more than 450 million people in these countries and internet/smartphone penetration is rising fast - the opportunities are immense!

Daraz already has more than 400 people on the ground, but we are currently looking for highly intelligent and driven full time Business Development professionals to help us scale the business. In particular, we are building a Daraz "SWAT Team" that will be working across countries directly for the CEO of Daraz Asia (Bjarke Mikkelsen, previously 7 years with Goldman Sachs in London). You will work across Daraz in all countries (currently, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Pakistan) - rotating periodically to build and grow the business in these countries.

Key responsibilities include:

Negotiating deals with the vendors on our platform (we already work with Nike, Apple, Samsung, Puma and lots of other local and international brands)
Aggressive online and offline marketing across all channels
Commercial planning based on an analytical approach to website traffic, consumer behaviour and available deals
Onsite optimisation and design
Streamlining operations across customer service, sourcing of products, inbounding, warehousing and delivery services

As part of the SWAT team you will be involved in all of these areas depending on the need for support. Requirements
For an internship, candidates will have at lest 6 months availability. The candidates will also possess the following:
