Mushlabs is a biotech startup using fermentation to create the next generation of sustainable foods from the roots of mushrooms. We grow fungal mycelium to create nutritious and delicious raw ingredients that form the basis of meat substitute products. Our mission is to produce nutritious and sustainable foods that appeal to both vegetarians and meat-eaters. We envision a food system that produces accessible nutrition for the growing population while preserving our planet.
We are looking for a Business Development Analyst with a strong understanding of the food and restaurant industries and a passion for bringing about a sustainable change to the way we eat.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate the market, target customer group, competition and trend-data
- Evaluate distribution channels and identify niche opportunities for a successful product placement
- Assist in the development and the supply chain of our product
- Setup brand promotion activities and implement marketing strategies to open market
- Provide support to the management team (CEO, COO)
- Assist in preparation of budgets
- Train interns and new hires
Your profile
- Master’s degree in business management or a related field
- Proficient in data analytics (Excel, VBA)
- Detail-oriented, independent and creative
- Able to juggle multiple tasks and thrives in fast-paced learning environment
- Strong communication skills (Written and Oral) in German and English
Nice to haves
- Previous experience in the food sector
- Previous experience and strong understanding of financial strategy and modelling
- A passion for sustainable and equitable change to the food system
